Edmonton Group

Our group is presently (autumn, 2020) in a transition moment.

Please contact Megan Collins (megcollins2003@yahoo.com) with any general questions you may have.

Waldorf School:

The WISE (Waldorf Independent School of Edmonton) is a thriving young school offering a comprehensive program from Preschool/K to Grade 9.  The school offers the opportunity for its parent community to engage in the study of anthroposophy*, as well as eurythmy classes and other artistic activities. The WISE is dedicated to enriching the life of the community through the celebration of seasonal festivals. For more information please write to info@thewise.ca.

*The WISE Study Group:

This group originally began as a study group for parents and teachers of the WISE interested in learning more about Rudolf Steiner’s world view.  It has now evolved to include members from the wider Edmonton community, including local members of the Anthroposophical Society.  Our October to May meetings are usually held every second Monday evening at the school.  We read and discuss lectures or books by Dr. Steiner.   Having worked through a number of foundational texts in recent years, we plan to begin study (October,2020) of the lecture sequence The Fall of the Spirits of Darkness.

Please contact Greg Moore at gregmoore@shaw.ca for more information.

Eurythmy:

Edmonton is also part-time home to the modular eurythmy training offered by Auriel Eurythmy in Canada and México – http://www.aurieleurythmy.org

Now in its 8th year, Auriel is currently (2020) offering a 2nd and 4th year training option.  Regular classes for adults are offered by practicum students in the Edmonton area.  Please contact sdiafolla@hotmail.com for more information.
