The Society aims &#8220;to further the life of the soul, both in the individual and in human society on the basis of a true knowledge of the spiritual world.\u201d This nurturing of the soul finds its greatest possibility for development in relationship with others. These applications are represented on this web site under \u201cInitiatives\u201d and cover, but are not limited to: education, farming, medical practices, and special needs communities. Worldwide about <strong>10,000 institutions<\/strong> base their work on anthroposophy. In Canada, there are many ways to become involved; through Branches and groups, initiatives, conferences, courses, research\/study groups.<\/p><p>Becoming a member in Canada, includes membership to the General Anthroposophical Society based at the Goetheanum in Switzerland.
