Robert McDermott, a member of the Society\u2019s council, proposed that rather than just allow the publication to cease, the society should publish a series of issues highlighting some of the most valuable and interesting articles from previous issues, grouped thematically and with new introductions, under the general title of <em>Classics from the Journal for Anthroposophy<\/em>.  With Robert McDermott as editor, this powerful series has now reached seven issues, the first of which was published in 2005:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Meeting Rudolf Steiner<\/em>, selected and introduced by Joan Almon;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Anthroposophy &amp; Imagination<\/em>, Kate Farrell;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Revisioning Society &amp; Culture<\/em>, Douglas Sloan;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Mani &amp; Service<\/em>, Robert Sardello;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Meeting Anthroposophy<\/em>, Robert Hill;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Novalis<\/em>, Donald Melcer;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Science &amp; Anthroposophy<\/em>, Arthur Zajonc.<\/p>\n<p>Three more issues are planned, to conclude in 2011:<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Waldorf Education<\/em>, selected and introduced by Diana Hughes and John Kettle, due out at Easter 2010;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Art and Anthroposophy<\/em>, Hans-Joachim Mattke and Heidi Violand, Michaelmas 2010;<\/p>\n<p>\u2022 <em>Meditation and Spiritual Practice<\/em>, Gertrude Reif Hughes, Easter 2011.<\/p>\n<p>For more details and to order copies, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anthroposophy.org\/index.php?id=28\">click here<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>&#8211; by John Kettle In 2004 the Anthroposophical Society in America decided that it must suspend publication of its Journal for Anthroposophy, which it had published for about forty years.
