Through direct observation of water and rock experiments during field trips, we will adopt a Goethean approach to developing an earth consciousness by vividly exploring the landscape, geology, and intrinsic nature of water in Nova Scotia.

This exploration will be framed within the context of current scientific and social questions related to the preservation and well-being of the Earth, and how it cares for all living beings. Instead of observing nature from the outside, we will strive to awaken our inner awareness and perception of our own experience by actively observing nature, becoming one with it. Eurythmy will infuse our bodies with fluid movement. The water experiments will focus on the flow of water using a trickle board and the creation of a vortex using a cylinder.

Participants will observe movement through the form and rhythm of the flow, which will become the

“language of its fluid nature.” The field trips will cover the Phanerozoic Era (from 500 million years ago to the present) and will allow participants to observe the role of water in rocks and discover hidden forces.

The final day will coincide with the French Annual General Meeting (May 15-17), allowing participants to
attend the field trip on Friday afternoon, May 15.

The water experiments and field trip locations are selected to address the following questions:

1. Is water alive? Are a river, a lake, a sea, rocks alive? Does nature have |

rights?

2. How does the Earth care for living things, and how do we care for the Earth? The Gaia Process

3. How is water activity recorded in rocks, the river, tides, and on the beach?

4. What hidden forces are active in the observed rocks (e.g., radiation, magnetism, gravity, cosmic forces)?

REGISTRATION FORM

To register, please send the following information to: johnduncankeppie@gmail.com

Name:

Email Address:

If presenting: Presentation Title:

Indicate your accommodation and meal preferences:

Accommodation: Queen room: €690
Single room: €483
Conference registration: $300
Camping: €120
Meals: Full board: €300
All meals except breakfast: €240
Field trip on Friday afternoon only: $50

To reserve your spot, please send a refundable e-transfer of $100 to
johnduncankeppie@gmail.com

Space is limited, so please reserve early.

The balance is due by April 1, 2026.

Nearby accommodations: https://www.airbnb.fr/a/discover/
https://www.theevangeline.ca/the-inn
https://grandprewines.com/pages/the-inn-grand-pre-winery

https://thebrezemotel.com/

Camp Rates

Geological Field Trip: May 9-15, 2026 in Nova Scotia May 9 @ 8:00 a.m. – May 15 @ 5:00 p.m. EDT ARE WATER AND ROCKS ALIVE?
