DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nEarth shines like a star into the universe\, and the universe beholds the body of Earth thus enlivened\, like a shining rainbow. \nNever are Earth and the universe nearer to each other in freedom and full consciousness than at Christmas time. \n~Dr. Elizabeth Vreede (1879-1943)\, Leader Mathematics/Astronomy Section of the School of Spiritual Science \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n \nThe season of review and anticipation approaches\, when we leave off what has been and turn to face what will be\, from Solstice time to Epiphany.  The days and nights of this time are as though set apart in the cycle of the year\, when there is a natural pause in outer activity for the fire of one’s inner striving to flame forth and illuminate the way ahead. \nIn order to meet the rich opportunity of this season\, we invite you to join us\, each day\, with a contemplation of the works of renaissance master Raphael and the zodiacal virtues as aligned by Rudolf Steiner. \nOur first few meetings will be 45 minutes to an hour (December 21\, 22\, 23\, and 24)\, and are designed as preparation for the shorter\, 15-minute daily sessions from December 25 to January 5. All sessions begin at 11 am ET/9 am ET and will be recorded. \nYou can get more information and register here! \nThis year our time together will include: \nDecember 21\, 11 am to 12 pm ET \nWinter Solstice Address with Mary Stewart Adams \nDecember 22\, 23\, 24\, 11 am to 12 pm ET \nwith Andrew Wolpert in which we will « accompany Raphael on his journey from the childhood of Jesus\, through the Incarnation\, to the affirmation of the Resurrection of Christ. »  \nDecember 25-January 4\, 11 to 11:15 am ET \nDaily Contemplations of the virtues\, zodiac signs\, and corresponding Raphael images\, led by community members \nIn addition to these daily\, 15-minute contemplations\, we will host: \nJanuary 5\, 11 am to 12 pm ET \n12th Night offering by Bruce Donehower: Under the Sign of the Mother: Raphael-Novalis \nJanuary 6\, 2026\, 11 am to 12 pm \nEpiphany Address on the Theme for the Year Ahead with Mary Stewart Adams \n\n\nWinter Solstice and Holy Nights\nHoly Nights 2025-2026\nWHAT: Six one-hour-long presentations opening with Eurythmy led by Mary Ruud. Ten 15-minute meetings over the holy nights to collectively contemplate the virtues \nHOW: Online through Zoom.
