Saturday, January 28th, 10am to 1pm

The South Shore Waldorf School is currently accepting applications for the 2017/18 school year and is welcoming prospective parents and students to come find out why Waldorf education is the fastest-growing independent school movement worldwide.

The Open House will provide parents with a look at the unique education offered by the South Shore Waldorf School. Visitors will have a chance to see our classrooms and grounds, meet faculty and learn about our curriculum and teaching methods. No appointment necessary.

10am-1pm: Meet the teachers & Classroom visits

11am-12pm: What is Waldorf? An Overview of Waldorf Education in the Early Years

This session, led by South Shore Waldorf School teacher, Kerry Eady, will provide current and prospective parents with an overview of the Waldorf curriculum from kindergarten through grade 6. Come find out what Waldorf education is all about.

11am-12pm: Nature Table Walk with Kindergarten teacher Monika Wildemann*

A Nature table is a focal point of a Waldorf Kindergarten. Placing objects or creating scenes related to the current season allows children to follow the cycle of the year, inspiring reverence for the natural world. Children 4 to 6 years old are invited to join Kindergarten teacher Monika Wildemann in collecting treasures and creating a seasonal nature table.
