Three years ago in Glimpses I read about the “GEM”, Margaret Shipman.  Thanks to her, over 90 GEMs,  “geographically engaged members” in the USA and Canada, sit down at the same time every Saturday morning to read the same Steiner lecture.  “When two or more are gathered together…”

Just what I needed out here in the country miles from like-minded souls.  I joined and have benefited greatly from the incredible themes that Margaret has chosen and organized.  Last year’s theme was “Man’s relationship to Christ, Lucifer and Ahriman.”  This year’s is “Life Beyond Death and Karma.”  Every month Margaret sends us a letter, keeping us on track.  She adds other Steiner lectures to supplement the study.  So if you find yourself, like me, miles from other anthroposophists, contact Margaret Shipman at:
