We began with a group of 7 students in 2013 and have worked steadily in 8 – 12 day modules, 3 times each year, with that group. There are now only 4 students left to go into their final graduation year, but we have begun a new group this Fall. Our new group is made up of 3 groups of students, one is based in Canada (a group of 4 again), one in Mexico City (10 students) and one group in Playa del Carmen (7 students). They will all work together once a year for the Spring Module. The teachers travel from place to place to work with the 4 different groups: The 5th year graduating group as well as the 3 new 1st year groups. Auriel does not have its own home and has been hosted by the Calgary, Edmonton and Nelson Waldorf Schools. Auriel is part of a non-profit society called the Kootenay Society for Lifelong Learning, based in Nelson BC.
In January 2018 we attended a meeting at the Goetheanum for eurythmy trainers led by Stefan Hasler and are in the process of becoming a recognized eurythmy training and being welcomed into the circle of the Section for Performing Arts, which is very exciting for us.
