2012 AGM and Conference

2012 AGM and Conference

The final preparations are underway for the 2012 AGM and Conference which will be held on May 18, 19, and 20 in Thornhill, Ontario. Members and friends from across Canada will gather for what promises to be an exciting and valuable event.  The workshop presenters have carefully designed the seven art experiences to be accessible to all participants.  These successive events will provide a wonderful forum for opening our hearts to what wants to come into being in ourselves and in our Society at this time.

In addition to the rich sequence of art experiences, the event will begin and end with a presentation of the eurythmic creation “The Michael Imagination” by Rudolf Steiner, to be performed by the Northern Star Eurythmy Group.  On the Friday evening , our General Secretary, Arie van Ameringen will give a keynote lecture entitled “Rediscovering the Path of the Heart, Creating New Social Forces”.  On Saturday evening, following the music and song experience, a panel of four younger anthroposophists will engage with a panel of four older members, discussing questions and themes relevant to the life and future of our Society.
Please note, for anyone who wants to attend either Friday evening or Saturday evening only, the cost will be $25 dollars.  If you are planning to attend the entire event or one of the evenings but have not yet registered, please do so as soon as possible.  We need some time to prepare materials for the art experiences and to ensure the Hesperus staff have a realistic sense of the number of meals they will be asked to prepare.  Please let us know your intentions; this would be greatly appreciated!
We look forward to seeing you all!
Warmest regards,
Regine Kurek, Douglas Wylie, Dorothy LeBaron, Robert McKay
