Imagination, relationship, and soulful conversation: these are some of the leading themes of The Green Snake and the Beautiful Lily, written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1795. This course will be a journey through the imagery of the fairy tale, meant to illuminate these themes as well as the questions that arise along the way—“What is more refreshing than light?”
