Adventures in Colour & Story

August 10, 2019 @ 8:45 am - August 11, 2019 @ 5:30 pm EDT

August 8 & 9 at Lightfoot & Wolfville Winery in Wolfville NS.
&
August 10 & 11 at the South Shore Waldorf School in Blockhouse NS.

Course Description

“The good and the bad, the beautiful and the ugly “

Using water colour we will explore The Grimm fairy tale of Snow White and Rose Red, how it relates to our own soul and how it offers us a way of meeting the many challenges we might face in our present age. We will explore the meaning of the Bear and Dwarf as important archetypes for renewal and growth.

We will also look for inspiration in the story of Percival in whom innocence and purity form a strong part of his soul. Parzival is a story depicting the struggle between moral actions, which lead us to greater freedom, and immoral actions, which fetter freedom, and tend to destroy vs create.

“That’s the big story of our time—first to distinguish the difference between good and bad ( not easy in modern art or life)—and then wake up in that Good World.” Donald Hall
